Portrait

I got some model time today. I decided to draw this portrait and let the body float off.

Nude

After painting at Crystal Cove I went to a figure drawing class and did this drawing. I love time in front of a model.

Cottage 13

The most recognizable cottage in Crystal Cove was my focus for painting today. I edited out the nasty fence, other than that it's true to life.

The Lime

Skulls, fruit, and vases are among some of my favorite still-life imagery to paint. I was trying to add some variation to the size of the objects in the composition. As well as add a touch of color with the lime.

Heirloom Portraits

These little gems were commissioned by Linda and David Jones as keep sakes. They were painted from the vintage photos shown. I enjoy painting things of sentimental value because they have the ability to touch peoples hearts. Inquire about getting your loved ones portrait painted.

Montage Gloom

Today was a cold painting experience. The wind was blowing down my neck, but it was worth it. All the gloom made for soft light, which I love.
