Moss Point

A lot of my beach scenes look the same. I am working toward capturing the essence of what it feels like to wake up early and go down to an empty beach. The only way to achieve that is repetition. The air is salty and wet, the ocean is so vast it makes every attempt to let you know it's in charge. This painting was done at Moss Point in Laguna Beach. It was a great morning the tide was low enough so Sarah and I could find a decent spot to set up, drink our coffee and knock out a good painting.
